GIRL: |
I'm really not sure I
want to be married. |
|
| |
FRIEND: |
You got to be kidding,
girl. Everybody wants to be married! |
|
| |
GIRL: |
Not everyone! Maybe I'll
be a writer or a movie producer. You know that I love to write and
I have lots of creative energy. I need to concentrate on my education
and my personal goals and see what the future has in store for me. |
|
| |
FRIEND: |
Well, I'm not sure I can
hang back like that. I need to have a guy in my life. |
|
| |
GIRL: |
(Sighs and laughs) What
an understatement! I can remember your parents grounding you when
you were 12 for crawling out of your bedroom window and going to hang
out with the guys at the Seven Eleven. |
|
| |
FRIEND: |
You remember that!? |
|
| |
GIRL: |
Sure do... and your father
had a fit! He was calling all around... he even got my Dad to go out
and search for you! |
|
| |
FRIEND: |
Well, those days are long
over. |
|
| |
GIRL: |
Not so long. You still
spend most of your time thinking about guys, don't you? (they laugh) |
|
| |
FRIEND: |
YES! And where has it
gotten me? |
|
| |
GIRL: |
Exactly! As for me...
I'd rather spend my time getting my life together, and if God sends
Mr. Right my way, I'll be all the more ready to meet him. |
|
| |
FRIEND: |
Girl, you're too much! |
|
| |
GIRL: |
Maybe, but... I see a
big beautiful rainbow ahead of me. All I have to do is keep my values
clear and my head high. With God in my heart how can I fail? Failure
is not an option! |
|
| |
FRIEND: |
YOU GO GIRL ! |
