| ANGEL: | In the "Our Father",
Jesus said the words,"Lead us not into temptation."
This simple conversation with your friend might
be a first step into the slippery slope of temptation towards impurity
of thoughts, words and eventually deeds? A simple conversation between two friends can lead to a weakening of your beliefs about love, purity, chastity and waiting until marriage. And if you have not waited until marriage as of today, you can through God's Grace begin again... with a new resolve to be pure and chaste until marriage. Have you ever read in the Book of Isaiah from the Bible, "Come now, and let us reason together." says the Lord, "Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool. " Through God's Grace and Jesus' Holy Sacrifice on the Cross, all your sins have been made white as wool; forgiven, cleaned. Try to live your life knowing you are His child and seeking His Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen you. When you return to this conversation, start by saying a little prayer asking God to send His Most Holy Spirit to inspire your answers to her questions. God is pure and Holy. As you try to be the same, it will be easier for you to hear His Inspirations and His Holy Suggestions if you, too... are in a state of grace and purity. Amen. |
